Having grown up in 70s, I too am very familiar with finger licken’ good. This was a sudden change with no extra information. Not even on the KFC app. At least that would have carried a little continuity. The only reference to FLG that I had heard of was, as slang for golf. There are a lot of clever ads around but I think this could have been done better.

Growing up in the 70’s I was used to the finger licking good tag line but honestly that phrase has been prevalent for a while and people don’t read minds – you do need to explain. It didn’t click with me and I had to Google it. Tired of seeing the ad and not realising what they were on about, annoyed when I realised but frustrating all the same.
